Artifacts

The three dimensional artifacts in the Society's permanent collection consist of over 18,000 objects, preserving the broadest culture presentation of Blue  Earth county history. The collections has evolved to reflect, document, and illustrate the history and development of Blue Earth County past. Most of the objects in our collection are given to us by individuals and families, people who want to make sure Blue Earth County's story, and their own, are never forgotten. Please contact Shelley Harrison, Archives Manager if you would like to donate a family treasure.

  • Clothing and items of personal use
  • Textiles such as quilts, blankets
  • Artwork
  • Household furnishing and furniture
  • Tools and equipment used in Agriculture
  • Tools and equipment used for communication such as music, photographic and telecommunications
  • Native American objects
  • Advertisement, promotional and documentary items
  • Recreational artifacts such as games, toys,sports equipment
  • Military uniforms, personal gear and equipment
