Regular program offerings

 

Discovery Days

Families share in the excitement of learning, doing and discovering Blue Earth County’s past through activities, storytelling and demonstrations. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

FREE Museum Admission

Fingerprints and Footnotes

A club for anyone who is an enthusiast about history, regardless of experience or specialty.  The purpose is to explore all types of history, Family, Social, and Community.  Research and topics are not limited to Blue Earth County, not even limited to Minnesota but anything; it’s all in the search.

There is a membership fee to defray expenses, mostly postage or copies.   For those who already are bechs members the fee is $5.00 per year, if you are not a member then it’s $10.00 and if you are only interested in that months topic its $3.00 for each meeting.

Young Historians

Hands-on history workshops for kids grades 3rd through 6th.  Topics range from

Pioneers Life through World War II.  Pre-registration is required. 10 a.m. to Noon

A forum for local hobbyists and collectors.  New topic each month.  1 to 3 p.m.

Genealogy Day

Visit the Research Center for tips and tricks for conducting your family search.  “Ask the Expert” your tough genealogy questions. 1 to 4 p.m.
