Research Tips

We do research only for Blue Earth County families and subjects.
The City of Blue Earth is in Faribault County, not Blue Earth County.
Provide specific information in your subject line: Last name, First name, location (when possible), date range. For example: Wilson, Thomas, Medo township, c 1870-1910
The more information you provide, the more likely it is that we will be able to help.
As part of your message, provide any alternate spellings that you have already determined.
We do NOT have birth, death or marriage records. We will, however, check these records at the Blue Earth County Court House as part of our paid research service.

Research of BECHS holdings looked up by staff and volunteers is $5.00 for 5 minutes, up to $15.00 per half hour. There is also a 25 cents per page copied fee.
The cost for wills is $10.00 plus $5.00 for shipping. ($15.00 total)
There is no guarantee that the information you are seeking will be found. Research charges apply even if information cannot be found.
Due to the large volume of requests we receive and our very small staff, please expect a 3-4 week wait for your information.
