InternshipsBECHS is currently seeking up and coming professionals for unpaid internships. The BECHS staff works with interns to meet many goals of the Society. BECHS has opportunities for interns from the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Interns work on a variety of projects and programs at the Heritage Center or at the R. D. Hubbard House. Internships are individually designed to meet the needs of both the student and the Society. We will consider students from all disciplines if course work relates to internship duties. BECHS staff are willing to meet with academic advisors to discuss the progress and objectives during the internship. The Blue Earth County Historical Society (BECHS) has been collecting, preserving and presenting the history of Blue Earth County, Minnesota since 1901. The Society operates two facilities in Mankato, MN. The Heritage Center, located at 415 Cherry Street, Mankato, MN, houses the Museum Exhibit Gallery, Research Center, Museum Store and a community art gallery. The Historic R.D. Hubbard House is the 1905 home of local flour mill entrepreneur R.D. Hubbard and his family. The Heritage Center is open year round and the Hubbard House is open seasonally May through September.
