  • Saturday, January 27, 2018 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

    Have you done work on your family history and now are wondering how to organize it? During this class, we will cover both electronic documents and paper copies. These are all suggestions and the participants are welcome to add how they have been organizing their records as well. 

    The first part of the class will be a presentation; the second hour will be for people to visit the Researh Center to look into their Blue Earth County Relatives.

    Classes are $8/Adults, $5/BECHS Members.

  • Tuesday, February 6, 2018 - 10:00am to 11:00am

    Love talking about history with fellow history buffs? We have just the place for you! Join us at the History Center for the Remember When Coffee Club. Each month a new topic is presented to be discussed. This month's topic is "Having a Baby." Light refreshments provided.

  • Saturday, February 10, 2018 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

    This year's theme is "Travels Through Time." Each month participants will explore technology, fashion, food, war and much more to see how times have changed through the 19th and 20th centuries. This month's topic will be "The 1960s What a Decade!."

    Please pre-register by February 8 to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone to Education@blueearthcountyhistory.com.

  • Thursday, February 15, 2018 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

    Bring your lunch and learn a bit of history! This month, Larry Korteum will share his experiences with the Vietnam War. Coffee and water provided. 

  • Saturday, February 17, 2018 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

    Newspapers can be used for more that just basic genealogical information. This class will work through all that newspapers can help provide for looking into your family history.

    The first part of the class will be lecture style with the last hour available to use the Research Center to look into your Blue Earth County family,

    Class is $8/adults, $5/BECHS Members.

  • Sunday, March 4, 2018 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

    Join us at the Blue Earth County History Center for a state of the society meeting with the election of new board members followed by a Vietnam Veterans Panel to compliment our latest exhibit, ​Coming of Age: The 1968 Generation. ​Doors open at 1 p.m. to see the exhibits before the meeting at 2 p.m.

    Please RSVP by March 2 to ensure we have enough chairs and refreshments.
