Collections: Archival and Artifact

The Blue Earth County  Historical Society actively collects and preserves the history of Blue Earth  County. Our archival and artifact collections include a variety of items such  as paintings, textiles, furniture, photographs, books, tools, letters and  ephemera from the middle of the 19th century though the 21st century. BECHS accepts  donations of objects and archival items according to these guidelines:

  • The item must relate to the history of Blue Earth County.
  • Items should generally be the first of its kind to our collections.
  • Adequate storage or display area must be available for all materials.
