Reedfield ran not one but two successful businesses in the Mankato area from the 1890’s to the mid-1930’s. Reedfield was nationally known for the extensive knowledge and reproduction of authentic Indian designs. She also fabricated, rented, and sold costumes of all kinds for local theatrical productions, schools, churches, etc. Less well known is her role as proprietor of the “Coponanning” and Point Pleasant resorts on Madison Lake.
