BECHS welcomes those who would like to offer their talents. We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities that are mutually beneficial to us and the volunteer.

Here is what we currently have available for volunteer opportunities:

History Center & Museum School Tours
Do you enjoy working with kids? Like to see their faces light up when they learn something new? Then we need you for our education tours and programs. As we continue to build our educational department, we are working to add more school tours and classroom visits. Special History Center tours are being designed for grades K-6 and we will need many people to lead, assist and make these tours possible. Select grades are also invited to tour the Hubbard House and volunteers will be needed there too.
If you are interested or have questions, please contact the Blue Earth County Historical Society. Specific dates for tours have yet to be determined. For volunteers interested in helping, once a tour has been scheduled, BECHS will contact you with specific details to see if you are available. Schedule is flexible and volunteers are welcome to help with any number of tours.

Technology Assistance
Looking for a volunteer for 10-20 hours per week to help at the History Center with computer maintenance and problem solving. Experience with PC hardware and software, Windows 7 and 10 is preferred. Experience with Windows Server 2012 would be useful.
